COMPETITION for awarding 10 scholarships to students studying at state universities in the Republic of Northern Macedonia – 2020

1. The Municipality of Delchevo will award 6 (six) scholarships to full-time students of all study years except I (first) who study at state universities in the Republic of Northern Macedonia, who meet the following requirements:

1.1. Full-time students of all study years except I (first), with continuous success over 8.00 who did not repeat during their studies

1.2. Students whose parents are unemployed, low-income or social assistance recipients

1.3. Students to be residents of the Municipality of Delchevo

1.4 Preference will be given to students who are not beneficiaries of another scholarship or credit from another institution

The Commission for awarding student scholarships determined the following criteria with points, for awarding 6 (six) scholarships from item 1 of the competition:

1.1.1. Achieved success during the study from the first to the current enrolled study year:

• With an average of 10.00 – 40 points
• With an average of 9.00 to 9.99 – 30 points
• With an average of 8.01 to 8.99 – 20 points

1.2.1. The family and material condition of the student:

The following sub-criteria have been established for this criterion:

• Family without any income – 60 points;
• Family without any income whose members are not registered in the Employment Agency – 55 points
• Family with incomes up to 3,100.00 denars per family member – 55 points;
• Family with incomes from 3,101.00 to 4,600.00 denars per family member – 50 points
• Family with incomes from 4,601.00 to 6,250.00 denars per family member – 45 points;

If 2 (two) or more candidates have the same number of points, the selection will be made by applying an additional criterion, ie evaluation of the university where the student is studying according to the Shanghai ranking of universities. Preference will be given to the university that is ranked higher on the Shanghai list. In case 2 (two) or more candidates have the same number of points and study at the same university, the candidate who achieved a higher average during the study will be selected.

2. The Municipality of Delchevo will award 4 (four) scholarships to full-time students of all study years except I (first) who study at state universities in RSM and who have achieved particularly high success in their studies, who meet the following requirements:

2.1.Regular students of technical sciences and medical sciences from all study years except I (first), with continuous success of at least 8.00 and who did not repeat during the study

2.2 Full-time students from the social sciences and the faculties of arts from all study years except I (first), with a continuous grade of at least 9.00 and who did not repeat during their studies

2.3. Students to be residents of the Municipality of Delchevo

2.4 Preference will be given to students who are not beneficiaries of another scholarship or credit from another institution.

The Commission for awarding student scholarships determined the following criteria with points, for awarding 4 (four) scholarships from item 2 of the competition:

2.1.1. Achieved success during the study from the first to the currently enrolled academic year:

For students of social sciences and arts faculties:

• With an average of 10.00 – 100 points
• With an average of 9.81 to 9.99 – 90 points
• With an average of 9.61 to 9.80 – 80 points
• With an average of 9.41 to 9.60 – 70 points
• With an average of 9.21 to 9.40 – 60 points
• With an average of 9.00 to 9.20 – 50 points

For students of technical sciences and medical sciences:

• With an average of 9.51 to 10.00 – 100 points
• With an average of 9.21 to 9.50 – 90 points
• With an average of 8.91 to 9.20 – 80 points
• With an average of 8.61 to 8.90 – 70 points
• With an average of 8.31 to 8.60 – 60 points
• With an average of 8.01 to 8.30 – 50 points

If 2 (two) or more candidates have the same number of points, the selection should be made by applying an additional criterion, ie evaluation of the university where the student is studying according to the Shanghai ranking of universities. Preference will be given to the university that is ranked higher on the Shanghai list. In case 2 (two) or more candidates have the same number of points and study at the same university, the candidate who achieved a higher average during the study will be selected.

5. Receipt for realized salary for the employed family members for the month of October 2020 or for the last month of 2020 for which the salary was taken;
6. Certificate of full-time student for family members who are pupils or students;
7. Certificate for unemployed family members from the Employment Agency;
8. Certificate from the Center for Social Affairs if a member is a beneficiary of social or permanent financial assistance;

Scholarship award procedure

1. All necessary documents are submitted to the Archive of the Municipality of Delchevo, every working day from 07.30 to 17.30 or by mail to the address: Municipality of Delchevo, st. "Svetozar Markovic" No. 1, marked "for scholarships for students studying at state universities in RСM "for students applying for item 1 of the Competition and marked" for scholarships for students who have achieved particularly high success in their studies "for students applying for item 2 of the Competition;
2. The submitted documents after the Competition are reviewed by a Commission formed by the Mayor of the Municipality of Delchevo, from the staff of the Municipality of Delchevo and the Council of the Municipality of Delchevo;
3. Incomplete documents or documents submitted after the competition deadline will not be considered;
4. The amount of the scholarship from item 1 of the Competition will be 2,000 denars per month, and the amount of the scholarship from item 2 of the Competition will be 3,500 denars per month, and will be awarded for 9 months starting from January 2021.
5. Scholarships are non-refundable;
6. The competition lasts 15 days from the day of the announcement and the application deadline is from 23.11.2020 to 07.12.2020;
7. The competition will be announced on the bulletin board in the Municipality of Delchevo, the regional media and the website of the Municipality of Delchevo www.delcevo.gov.mk
